Default Fuel Tank

Does anyone have an extra fuel tank installed on their gt500. The 13' just has no fuel capacity. 16 Gallons for a SuperCharged 5.8L engine. would anyone do this? I don't know about you but...

Seriously?

1. You'll get 250 miles out of a tank on average the way it is stock. Stop to pee.

2. Gas weighs 6 pounds per gallon. How much heavier would you like that car to be?

3. There's no safe way to do it. (read: you'll put an eye out with that thing)

4. I'm guessing you're too young to remember cars like the Pinto that went boom when anyone hit them from behind. (see #3)

In theory, sure.

In practice, uh.....no.

I agree, but If you did not know fuel cell's have coated insides so they cannot be pierced or crushed. I plan on making my car a grand tour car, so it mean increasing the capacity. to maybe a range of 500 miles and a grand total of 25 gallons.

I'm sure you will be the first. One bad idea deserves another so seatbelt it in your passenger seat for those long rides.

16 gallons x 22 mpg =352 miles. I routinely drive 300 miles on a single fill-up and have never put more then 15 gallons in it. Mines an 07 and I've installed 3.73 gears. That being said that's not city miles.
