Default Anybody have Ford Racing/Borla Touring Exhaust?

I have a 2011 GT500. Loved the sound of the OE axelbacks but wanted some more volume.

My answer was to purchase the Roush. They are too loud and raspy for my taste.

So know I am looking at either the Borla/Ford Racing Touring or Sport. I have seen quite a few sound clips on the sport.

Was curious if someone had the touring exhaust? How much different is than stock?

been there....

Stock was too quiet,

bought FRPP (Borla) axlebacks droned in 6th on highway had to stay in 5th as to not get a head ache.

FRPP KR's by far, IMO, the only exhaust that should be on a Shelby. Not too loud at cruising speeds, under full throttle sounds like a 60's muscle car, you will never need to change them out for any other muffler. Hope this helps, great thing is you can find them used usually on this site and ebay for around $300-400, best money I've ever spent!

Isn't it just "FR KRs" and not "FRPP KRs"? Is there special significance in adding "PP" in there?

FRPP = Ford Racing Performance Parts, the official name of Ford Racing Performance Parts.

Thanks for the suggestion. The KR's unfortunately do not fit 11+.

The new redesigned Borla's (touring, sport, atak) do not have any drone.

Thanks again

I've got the Stingers. Great sound but tuned to make a drone at highway speeds though.

I have the Borla S-type (11789) for my '12. They're definitely louder and more throatier than OEM- but not as loud as I would have liked. The 4 1/2" rolled SS tips look great in the rear valance.

I've owned the "Stingers" on an 07 GT, and while they did sound good, they droned. These do not... at any rpm, but may be too aggressive for what you're looking for... As such, the Touring (11790) may be more suitable for your taste...
