Regarding CSM number on order form: "No CSM is required if you are ordering a certificate for a 2007-11 Shelby GT500. Just leave the CSM line blank, your order will go thru just fine."
Unless you have a KR or a Super Snake you don't have a CSM. It's a serial number given by Shelby to vehicles they have modified. Regular GT500s do not have a CSM, and you don't need one to order the Shelby Registry Cert.
To get the build number you'll have to order a certificate from Ford Performance Group.
I just ordered one as well. I bought my new 2010 just a couple of days ago and still waiting on it to arrive. Someone mentioned that it comes with a certificate, is that true?
Up until a few days ago the registry didn't have an option for 2011 and since you need to be registered to receive a certificate I was SOL. Now the site's been update, so I ordered my cert as well.
Just ordered mine and I don't even have it yet.... GT500 CW3, you won't get a CSM if you don't have one of Shelby's specialty cars (KR, GT350, etc.). All you need is the VIN.
