Add friction modifier to the rear end, it cured my moan,groan, then do a few circle turns right and then left to get the modifier to the clutch packs and it's done. no more noise,-Tonyd1

ISSUE:
Some 2005-2007 Mustang GT vehicles equipped with the 8.8 inch limited slip axle may exhibit a moan/groan noise when making tight low speed turns. This may be more noticeable when the axle is at full operating temperature. The noise may also be confused as originating from the brakes or steering system.


GT's only.

I believe the limited slip on the GT500s are different than what comes in the GT ( at least 07-09s).

Speaking of which, anyone want to buy my old one?? Limited slip differential? I could dig up the stock gear too, and throw a bearing in too...

I can run OASIS on your vin # and see if the TSB applies if you want...

My '09 had the moan/groan. I mentioned it to the service manager at the 1st service and never had the prob again.

Whether or not my car was covered by this TSB, I don't know but it was fixed at no charge to me. :silly:

I had the same thing with my 2010 and friction modifier fixed it
