Had a blast guys....only got one good run in where the tires held up.

My Mods:
1) VMP stock look 2.59 Pulley
2) VMP 91 oct tune
3) Lethal O/R X pipe
4) C&R dual pass dual fan H/E
5) Reische 170 therostat
6) 3x larger IC tank
7) FRPP Resonator delete

First run was a not so good 1.92 60ft, short shifted 1st, shifted second at 5400 and rode out 3rd and 4th. No wheel hop at all...car just scooted out. I was running on borrowed BFG Drs 275 wide on a 17'' GT wheel...tire pressure was at 16psi

1st run managed a 12.0 @ 120.77 Almost an 11 sec run, so close. If I would have just launched a little harder! Not short shifted 1st-2nd (was afraid I was going to lock out 2nd or blow the tires off.... DAMN! haha

Second run was horrid....wheel hop was insane! I thought my eyeballs were going to fall out. 60ft was a disgusting 2.150. 1st gear about rattled me to death so i short shifted to 2nd....2nd gear was 1st gears wheel hop all over again hehe....then I rode 3rd and 4th out.

Managed a 12.5 @ 120.39 MPH

3rd run I tried leaving at 1800 and slipping the clutch slowly....felt like I scooted out good, then when I was sliding the throttle down to hammer it....tires just started spinning like crazy. Shut the car down at that point....no sense in beating on the car.

Overall pretty excited about this car...WOW is it fast. (to me anyway)

Weather was 71 degrees when I got there....tires held up a bit better at that temp. By the time I ran my 2nd and 3rd runs, it was around 49 degrees. Car felt a lot faster on the big end when the weather got cooler, but wheel hop and tire spin were a HUGE problem. Had the tire pressure at 15psi for the 2nd and 3rd run

Any suggestions or tips would be great! Was the PSI too low on the BFGs? Not sure why I wasnt getting the same smooth results as the first run.

Had a blast anyways! Just love this car :)

My 12.0 @ 120.77 slip

Looking into an adjustable upper control arm.....and drag tire/wheel combos as well.

Really want to produce some fast 1/4 mile times, but dont want to take away from the comfort of stock ride quality too much

Any suggestions on a good wheel/tire combo for the track?

The race star wheels seem to be a pretty good choice. They are available in the 17" X 4.5 fronts to cut down on a little rolling resistance, and they are 15" in the back to get enough sidewall so you can get some bite. They are going on my car after I get the current round of mods installed.

See my sig. Bogart Bolted GTs, 15 x 10. M&H Racemaster drag radials 325/50/15. Don't want to go (almost) race-only? Buy a set of 18" wheels and the 275/18 M&Hs. They work with 1,000hp cars.

Thinking about the RaceStar 15'' with M&H....but I also have a set of 17'' bullet wheels from my 07 GT I could rap in an M&H as well.

Is there a reason you suggested the 18''? or would the 17'' still be fine?

As soon as the break in period is over I intend on visiting our local 1/8th mile track just to see if a racing career is in my future. Need to invest in some rear tires and wheels before I go. So I've been told.
