St. Paul is where I am. I would always go down to University Ave to cruise, but now everything is going to be different with the light rail going in. R.I.P Porkys too that sucks.

LOL, Yeah must be, this is my second black car, only because after my first one I swore I'd never get another black car too hard to keep clean. When I saw the Shelby though it had to be in black or Kona Blue thats a sweet color too. I love those red stripes on your car..

Hopefully this rain will stop so I can go for a cruise, today is supposed to be nice..

As for upcoming events, Theres a car show for Cinco De Mayo Friday May 6th on Concorde st on the West Side of St. Paul. Its not really a hot rod/muscle car show more of a lowrider show/hop off. So anybody interested come check it out.

Bummer there's no other car shows coming up. I would just like to see/hear some other GT500s to see what mods people have done. I just bought Magnaflow's catback exhaust. From what I can tell on Youtube, it sounds great. Tough to tell without hearing it in person though.

I have a 2008 and the stock exhaust sounds like a Toyota with a bad tune! :) Ok it's not that bad, but I grew up with my Old man's '68 GT500KR and I love the sound when he starts that thing. I remember riding with him through downtown Stillwater. We were at a stoplight and the sound echoing off the valley walls is stuck in my head forever.

I've actually never heard the sound of the '08... (Not exactly a ton of Shelby's driving around town... :lol:)

There is just no muscle sound at all on the 2008 stock exhaust IMO. The Magnaflow will never be able to reproduce an 8 liter with a 4 barrel, but it should sound a little more intimidating. I hope!

Believe it or not, I actually saw a stripe delete Black Shelby on my way to work today... it was an out of towner though, as it had Michigan plates. Looked like an '11.

Awesome, one of my good friends is from PL.

w00t! They finally swept the parking lot clean here at work... so as soon as the weather co-operates, I can drive the Shelby to work from time to time! Possibly tomorrow if the rain clears up soon enough? ;)

I drove mine to work yesterday, it was great! Luckily I switched out for the Volvo before softball and made it under a bridge before the big hail came down. Looks like I'll be getting a new roof on the house...

This weather has been unreal... There was a tornado on Sunday that touched down at 394 and 100, about 4 miles from my house! Apparently we have tornadoes in the Twin Cities now???

I think it's supposed to be sunny later this week. Let's hope so!

That tornado that went through North Minneapolis really tore things up, a buddy of mine lives in Brooklyn Center about 1 mile from where it touched down. Thankfully no one I know was hurt or had any damage to their homes.

On another note, where are you guys buying gas? I've used 92 from Super America, And 93 from BP, I stay away from Holiday. Has anyone notice any differences in the gas quality from different stations?

I've been using 92 octane from SA myself... I haven't noticed a quality difference in any of the stations I've used thus far.

I buy from the Holiday in Wayzata near work, they have 93 there and that's what my tune is set for. There is a BP accross the street, but I don't see many cars there at all so I don't know how fresh their gas is. The Holiday is always packed though. I haven't had any issues at all.

One of my friends goes there pretty often. I should ask him how to get there and go there one day.

It's not that hard to find really. Though you generally have to get there pretty early as it can get pretty packed.

Guys, we have to plan a meet here at some point... would be awesome to get a Minnesota Snake Pit going!

July 16th 4pm-9pm... In West Saint Paul, on Robert St starting by Menards. They have 2 shows on Robert a year. There always great turn outs. Fun for kids too, they usually land a helicopter right in the middle of Robert St. Anyways Im usually the only GT500 there so hoping to see some more out.. Here is a link.

It's next weekend and a great car show. I drive 8 hours from Canada to it every year for the past 12 years. 5000+ cars there now.
This will be the second year I bring my Shelby. Rest were always with fox bodies.
Let me know who's going we should hook up.

Car Craft is a nice show too, its July 22-24 and its $65 to enter at the door or $45 if you pre register. Looking forward to seeing some of your cars.

Never made it there myself... and if the only car I wanted to see was the 2013 GT500, I'd just wait to see one on the showroom floor at the local dealer... that's free. ;)
