Thursday 6-14-07 was also "Ford Employee Appreciation Day" so I worked 1/2 a day and went down to Ford World Headquarters to see ALL Fords' race cars and drivers.I think you will see a few familiar faces,John Force and Ashley,Jack Roush,Robbie Gordon to name a few.:D :D :D

Yes, I would drive the 3000 KM (1930 mile) distance from Calgary to the Detroit area (and would love every Kilometre/Mile of it). It would only be about a 30 hour drive! :eek:

I just placed my order with my dealer and decided that Black stripes on a Torch Red car was a better colour combo than my original choice of Tungsten on Alloy (mainly because that combo has been discontinued :( ).

All the best to you all as now the 'real' waiting begins. :cool:

I would like to say a few words about the next 8 pictures.The 1st picture is not a Shelby but it was the only car Joe had a 2nd gear in.He was so happy he took home a collection of Mayflies home with him.LOL.Only kidding Joe.Thanks for you and your boys driving all that way,appreciate it.

My buddy Eric doesn't have a Shelby but was nice enough to stop over so I included his Mustang.Plus sometimes he is my boss and it is good public relations.

Prez took a lot of ribbing about whining but did none of that while he was here.The 1st lady was my radio person in the rear of the pack keeping everybody in line,thanks Shannon you did a great job.

After everyone went home I got a few compliments from the neighbors.While everyone was there 1 of my neighbors(works for GM) came over on his bicycle(a little intoxicated)and rambled on and on about how he liked the cars.There is a picture of him here somewhere.Let me find him.

I wish you all the luck in the world! What part of SC are you talking about? My dealership has sold all of theirs for $5k over, but everyone else around the area as been $20k+ over. If you are in the Charleston area, let me know!

Ok you guys,all the members that went on the AAI tour are celebreties.I was in the shop office today and someone asked about the pictures in the Great Hall.So I went out in the Great Hall and there were 32 pictures on the bulletin board of our tour of AAI.Everybody made the wall.It starts from us pulling into the lot in our Shelbys till the time we left.They even have a group picture of us on the Wall.Congrats guys and gals...............07...................

Man, I'd freaking feel like I was in heaven seeing this many Shelby Cobras in one spot. Lucky for me, there is only one other GT500 in town and he is very conservative. See him every now and then and talked to him once. Don't understand because he only drives the car, according to him, every two or three weeks. Shame, Shame, Shame.

I figure most of you "original tour" guys think I have forgotten my CD project! That isn't the case! I have been waiting for some higher resolution pictures from a few of you and addresses from a few of you. No pressure, but if you planned to send me high resolution pictures and/or addresses, please send them on soon, or at least let me know. I will give this another week and then I want to hold up my end and get something out to you.

I have most of the pictures, and some of you have really come through for us with the high resolution stuff! There is plenty of room on a CD for everyone's high res stuff! I think I am missing six addresses. I have addresses for Fred, Joe L., John A., Ray, Joe B., Rick and Jameson. Help me out guys!

I went ahead and designed the topside of the CD and started printing them. I have a lightScribe writer and the first one came out pretty nice! Sadly, they don't always come out, but the other side is still usable! I used one of Cal's photos (low res, hint, hint). I'll pre-print the tops and do the rest after I know I have received all I can expect. I'll get some CD shipping boxes this week.

Smitty My pics just arrived and they are FANTASTIC. Not only do you have our illustrious leader on the front cover but the personal one of Sandy and I was a great touch. As we looked through the pics it brought back great memories of the trip, the sites but most of all the GREAT people we met and spent time with. I also took the disc down to Blacks Photo and had a free 8x10 done of the group which I now have hanging above my computer where I can see everyones sweet smiling face everyday(haha). You did a superb job Smitty and both Sandy and I thankyou so much.Take care Jim
