I arrived home this evening about 4 pm from the Romeo event. I wanted to get in so that I might get to go to a annual 3 day local car show. This is called Cars for Kids. Held by one of our local guys who made a promise to God if his childs life was spared many years back. All proceeds go to childrens charities., and there have been 100s of thousands donated over the years !
Well I did make it just in time for the burn out event. They actually shut down the street for about a whole mile and let any one that would like to make a succession of burnouts have at it. The law over sees this event, but basically its a no holds barred. I am talking none. Full fledged nitro, alchohol, nitrous, or foot brake as long as you want.
This evening was tragic. 4 dead at this time with 15 more injured seriously. You may see this on CNN or go to WMCtv. com click on the video. Drag racer kills 4. My son in law is on the Air Evac team, after talking to my daughter I am sure the numbers will accumulate.
Say a Prayer for those that are injured, and pray for those that have lost a loved one !
