Anyone in Houston willing to give me a short ride in a 2011 GT500?

I'd like to get a sense of the ride quality.

Thx

Sorry you're not closer to Big D... I'd give you a ride in my '09. Not 100% apples to apples with the '11, but mine has the FRPP Handling Pkg, so it will be close.

I think you're doing the right thing taking your time in making a decision. Both cars you're looking at are really, really nice. You'd probably be very happy with either.

Find a dealer in the Houston area that has a used 2010 and test drive that. It will be real close.

Just saw your post on the other thread as of today - so I guess you don't need the ride after all?

Niiice - getting the M3 AND the GT500! We have the GT500 for me and a 335d for the wife. IMO the diesel is an awesome car and the hidden gem of the 3-series family, but it doesn't compare to the M3!

Good luck!

I live in West U. I am taking my time with this, and could still use the ride in the GT500. I will probably be the first purchase. I will be taking the wife to drive the M3 & 335's this Saturday.

Will send you a PM re: possibly meeting for a ride.

BTW I re-read the original post in the other thread: I will note that my 2011 SVTPP is my daily driver involving ~60 miles every day of mixed suburban and Beltway-8 driving, and I have zero concerns on the ride quality. IMO it's an awesome daily driver and I feel fortunate to be able to drive mine year round!

Ram _ so agree!

I just purchased my 2011 6 months ago, and it is my Daily Driver. It is quite comfortable in that role, and that even the 2010 GT 500 is only slightly close as a model to judge it. The big difference is the SVTPP package; the tires/brakes/ suspension make a BIG difference on ride/performance quality.

Good luck with your decision. There are a lot of us in the Houston area, and I'm sure someone would be glad to give you a ride. Many of us in this area use them as daily drivers without any complaints.
