My 2010 GT500 had been sitting for about 3 day in a parking garage when I cranked it up and heard a tapping sound from underneath. It sounded like an exhaust leak, until I got out and looked under the car. It sounded like metal on metal contact and it was coming from around the front sway/sub-frame area. It would change speed with the RPM of the motor as well. It lasted for about the first 5 minutes and then went away after I pushed in the clutch pedal and the car was a bit warmer. I cannot think of what it might have been except for something in the tranny. The car is going in for the rear axle in about two weeks so I will have them check this out as well, but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on what this could be.

It's the engine. Widely known non-issue. Do some Google searches and you'll find it on multiple sites.

Thanks. I need to work on my search skills apparently as I could not find anything on it...lol.:silly: I can deal with it if it is a non-issue. It just caught me by surprise just starting at 11K miles.
