Finally getting a chance to get a pre-mod timeslip on my 2010. What have y'all seen these run with absolutely no engine mods?

Ran a 12.44 @ 116
not too bad for the first time on the track with the Shelby. Much different than driving a Fox at the track.

Question: How did you control the wheel spin in 1st gear? 1st gear for me on the street is useless and just lights up the tires.

What RPM did you leave at? What RPM did you shift at? Sorry for all of the questions...I ran mid 12s with my bolt on 07 GT but this is a different animal.

Stock tires. Stock tune. Stock everything except for eibach pro kit.
I launched at about 13-1500 and rolled on the gas to control wheelspin. I speed shifted at 6k

Mine came with something called "launch control" that handles all that stuff !!

LOL! what a crock that was!

I am not the best person to answer that, but couldn't resist a cheap joke.

yup, it controls the launch to the point that it is a weak sputtering rollout.

My 2011 ran a 12.95 @116 with a 2.30- 60' time. Svt package and bone stock, stock tires Goodyear F1's. Speed shift at 6k. BAD traction problem at the top of first and probably for 50 feet of second gear, pure spin. I used traction control. I bought 17'' slicks and "Bullitt" copy rims and I beat on it on the street and the traction problem is fixed. It shall really hook at the track. Can't wait for the next test and tune. What were your 60ft times?

TaraFirma

2.09 60ft. Drag radials or slicks put me in the 11's easy.

So you ran 12.44 all stock. not bad alot better then I have been seeing from these cars, did you lower the tire pressure on the stock tires? anyone else have any Stock times to post?

TaraFirma

Completely stock save for the springs and the MGW shifter. I lowered the tire pressure to around 14-15PSI

I'll get a post MOD time sometime in March I hope. Got the pulley tune intake and midpipe done.

I would be very interested in how much the car picked up from your mods..I have been thinking mid-Pipe just to get things started but I was informed that even changing the mid-pipe requires a tune, So I will wait and do it all at one time.. That way I dont have to keep updating the tune..Thanks and please keep us updated on times and how the car feels.

I'll update as soon as I have a timeslip. The OR x-pipe made the exhaust come alive. The car sounds awesome at full throttle now. I did pulley/tune/intake first and the folks at Lethal said a retune is not required due to the rear O2 sensors being turned off in the initial tune. The front O2 sensors are what the processor uses for AF ratio and they are before the Cats so a retune for that would not be needed. It is needed to turn off the two rear ones to prevent codes from being thrown.

If you are referring to the video, it's a stock eaton blower on the kona Blue GT500. Sneaky has the TVS on his.

2.6 inch pulley and C&l intake on the stock blower is all. I imagine yours is close to that loud at full throttle.

No problem. I know there are alot of folks out there that like the sound of the stock exhaust, but need a little something extra. I believe this OR X gives it exactly what it needs without the drone that aftermarket pipes do.

Just dont like the popping on decel

I can"t help but wonder if the high flow catted version would do away with the crarkel and pop on decell??

TaraFirma

It would a little bit. I myself really like it. As long as it's only on hard decel, which is what I was going for in the vid

forgive my ignorance, but how do you speed shift?

It's a technique of shifting where you hold the gas pedal down the whole time while shifting. You pretty much kick the clutch pedal and yank the hell out of the shifter to get it into the next gear. It takes a lot of practice, and even when done correctly is hard on transmissions and shifters.
