You mentioned traction being an issue. Your gt500 already had some modification to the suspension. I'm glad heat is not an issue. It really looks good in the photos. I believe you are King of the hill as far as gt500's go. Thank you for keeping us informed on your build up.:) GGBIW

What was your real thoughts about this set up, Pros and Cons.
I am still charting out my course and would like to not be to and fro. These are not 100. 00 pieces any longer as they were many years ago. Everything is 4 digits.
What gear did he have?

I plan on running this setup for a little while longer and then, definitely back to the store. 703 HP (amazing)

excuse me for my stupity! WHAT ARE BRAKE LOCK VALVES?
07 SHELBY 08-15-2007, 12:14 PM excuse me for my stupity! WHAT ARE BRAKE LOCK VALVES?
They are solenoid valves that are installed with the front hydraulic lines for the brakes. It builds up pressure then locks. To release you flip a switch or in this case you honk the horn to release.Used for racing. Here is a picture of the car with brake locks and KB supercharger, enjoy.

I should have, should have, should have. Old adage, "should have, could have, would have".
Man these PICs really get me going especially with the Grabber Orange.

flyinghigh217 11-26-2007, 09:05 PM hey I see this post is old but I ordered a stage 3 kenne bell today, any advice or opinions about yours since you have had it a while? i plan on going w/ the 3" pulley.
fllaw1 01-19-2008, 07:20 PM How was the install, you able to do it all? What comes with the kit? Anything else to purchase to complete install, I as quite a few are debating what system to go with. Are you able to put back on the Brace? :D
ginson3 01-19-2008, 08:44 PM have you noticed any problems with the driveshaft "hitting the hump' when torqueing it up in the low gears? Mine is lowered with the Eibach Pro Kit, and after the kenne Bell Stage 3 installation I have had that problem. Mine is in the shop to have some traction and suspension work completed, and I'm hoping that some adjustment to the Pinion angle will resolve that issue. I guess if that does not fix things maybe i will raise it back up a bit and maybe go to a 3.5" driveshaft.
ginson3 01-19-2008, 08:54 PM how do you start a new thread, or can you?

Tell us about the KB kit what comes with it and such. Easy install? Have you had the car dyno'd since you installed it? What do you like about it or not?
Thanks...:D
ginson3 01-20-2008, 11:52 AM The install was a breeze for me, I dropped it off and they put it on. However, it is something most anyone with a little under the hood experience could do. It was much less involved than the Roush version for the F150, or the Trilogy kit on the Marauder, as they both required replacement of the intake manifold. I decided to let them "Archangel Motorsports" do it given the risk value factor involved with the Shelby. The price from Kenne Bell for me was going to be $5900.00 if I remember correctly, and Curtis did the install out the door for $6150.00 which included the dyno runs which we should do this week. He reps Kenne Bell in our three state area, has direct contact with Jack Bell and had done an install on his own personal GT500 which were factors too. As for the kit, KB were having some problems with the twin 75mm throttle body (used on the stage 3 only)sticking at low rpm's, and they were at that time cerifying each one by testing it installed on a GT500 (Jack Bell's I believe). They KB at the same time were using the same car to get California emissions qualification, so at the time of my purchase they had no way of cerifying a throttle body and understandably would not ship without doing so. They did however go ahead and ship the stage 2 kit and followed up in a couple of weeks with the rest of the required parts to complete the stage 3. The car is in the process of having that plus adj. U & L control arms, new panhard bars, sway bars, and driveshaft loop installed. As for the overall satisfaction I love it so far , and can't wait to see what the extra 32 or so ponies do for it. Downside so far have been the 4" driveshaft hits a little at high torque values in the short gears, and traction is a definite problem. I'm hoping adjustment to the pinion angle will solve the the driveshaft issue, which probrably would not be a problem if the car were not lowered anyway. The traction problem might partially solved with drag radials, but right now I'm gonna drive it the way it is, and see if some practice with applying the maximum amount power and still be able to keep it managable works. The WOW factor is great, and I have no regerets whatsoever.

harley99fb 01-22-2008, 05:54 AM Very nice!
Nice radiator cover also. Did you buy it or make it yourself?
Where is Archangel Motorsports?
croz98gt 01-22-2008, 08:18 AM Will the stock cross bar fit? or is this pic before you reinstalled it?
JJ
ginson3 01-22-2008, 04:00 PM Thanks to all for the nice responses. I bought the radiator cover from RPM Outlet. Archangel Motorsports is in Tulsa, recently relocated from Skiatook, Ok just outside of Tulsa. Curtis, and the guys have been great to me, provided service well above and beyond the call of duty, and I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in mods to their Shelby or anything for that matter. I was referred to them by SCT Tuners.

garagelogic 03-12-2008, 11:37 AM I installed my a couple of weeks ago and I'm more than pleased with the power. I'm actually running the 3.25 pulley and 91 octane tune on mine right now and it still made 619rwhp/565rwtq on the canned KB street tune and no other performance modifications.

FYI,
He sold the car 6 months ago. It could of been 9 months ago. It got a ding in it and he could not live with it from what I herd. I think he hit a plastic traffic barrel.
