Ok the 1-2 shift problem on my 2010 Shelby is starting to annoy me, and I'm wondering if anyone in the area has brought their Shelby to the dealer for this problem, and if so:

- what dealer did you take it to?
- what did they say ?
- was it fixed ?

I've heard Sam Pack was a good dealer for Shelby's but I live in Denison "North of McKinney" and want to make sure they won't turn me away before I make the drive. It also helps to know if they are aware of the problem.

For those that aren't:
About 2 out of 3 times, whenever I shift from 1st to 2nd above or around 5k rpm I can disengage the clutch..... pull the shifter out of 1st....but the shifter will not go into 2nd gear...it just grinds...until the rpms are decreased and then it finally goes into gear. Sounds like the synchros.

I've seen this problem reported by many people.

Thanks for any help

I bought mine at Sam Pack. I took it in to have them check it for the TSB for the clutch when I got my oil changed. When I asked the service advisor first to check it, he said there's no TSB for clutches in the shelby. Mind you he has been there for several years according to all the cheesy plaques on the wall. So I go back to the car and grab my print out of the TSB and hand it to him. Then he says oh ok we'll take a look at it. I picked up the car and he said it was fine. To be completely honest I don't think they checked it at all. Just be carefull, and if you have the time hang around while they work on your shelby, or ask to speak to the actual tech who is going to work on it. I have heard better things about Randal Reeds becuase they service saleen's and rousch's they are better equiped and more knowledgeable to work on the shelbys.

Thanks for the advice. I can't believe some of the BS some service centers try to pull.

I think that alot of people are resorting to the WOT BOX as a fix for this problem, since nothing the dealers do seems to fix it, even when they do actually do look at it.
