Anyone had problems with panit chipping on both front sides of the car under the GT500 sticker? My car has less then 1500 miles on it and the dearler is saying it is because of the wider tires. I am saying cheap paint job. I had a 2010 GT with 14000 miles with no chips. I am thinking about having that area sprayed with protective cover and painting the plastic runners.

It is proberly all the gravel they put on the roads up here in MN, the paved roads here might as well be gravel roads.

My 2010 is doing it from road blast on both sides probably not much to do to stop it as even plastic covering would eventually blast though

I just didn't expect it with less than 2,000 miles / 2 month driving.... (dbrisson) I drove the GT for 10000 miles with nothing like this. You think you will repaint ? I didn't really want to add mud flaps..... Not sure if that would help any way.

Just bought my 2010 and as I have done with my last 3 cars I'm getting the 3M clear bra product done on the entire front nose of the car, mirors, a stripe that goes along the whole side of the car under the door / GT500 sticker your talking about. Also in the door handle cups.

This isn't cheap but if its done right you can't even see it and it protects everything. When its beat up you can peel and replace although I have never had it do that. I'm having them cut out around the stripes rather than go over them.

Thanks alexd,
I did have the front of the car done with the 3M. I just havent done any thing with the side cause I never seen anything like this happen before. One thing about the 3M on the sides I figured in the winter, it would end up comming off, cause I drive year round. I have seen the spray on type to, but not sure what way I will go with it.
