Hi everyone, since its pretty cold and my baby is not allowed outside I figured that its time to start with the mods. I got my mats with the cobra logo and they are very nice indeed, but I also just installed the sequential turn signal from classic concepts and I have to say its a great product. Its a very simple mod with no need to splice or cut and a great touch. I will post a vid when as soon as I get a chance. To all those who get to enjoy their car all year round be careful and enjoy, and to those that dont have theirs yet just be a little patient. Enjoy the holidays.

Just finished installing the LED sequential kit from Mustang Project and I have to say, they are very nice indeed. Not really sure the LEDs were worth the increase in cost, but they work very well, are very bright and have a crispness to the sequential sequence that incondesent lamps do not have. I like them. Was a plug in install in the housings and clip on wiring, easily removed from the stock wiring harness.

I saw the sequential tail lights on an 05 Mustang yesterday and they looked pretty cool. Here is a video that I found on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWiaFJ9lAj8

Those are a slightly different version of the ones that I have, I believe that those are the chaser version. Its a good video for those that want to get an idea of what they look like.

Yes, please do. I just installed the "regular" ones. They look/perform kick ass, but I am interested in these LED's that you speak of?

Thats where I got mine. Sweet kit and very nice folks to deal with. The LED modules plug into the factory lamp sockets. Very bright and great light distribution. From more than 10 feet away you really cannot tell they are LED other than the crispness of the on/off and they are much brighter than bulbs. What I am trying to say is, they look like they belong there, not an aftermarket hack.

I have installed the CDC sequentials and I like them just fine, but I am interested in the aluminum tail light trim, like the one offered on the Shelby site. Has anyone installed the aluminum trim on a Performance White Shelby yet and if so what is the verdict? It just seems like it wouldn't show up as well against the white.

I am such a bonehead. :(

I installed new sequential tail lights last night...one of those super easy, no splicing, harness replacement kits. Install took about 15-20 minutes...piece of cake. That is, up to the point I dropped a mounting nut behind the shaker 1000 subwoofer box. D'OH!!!!!! I had to stop what I was doing and rip out the subwoofer. But wait! It didn't just fall behind the subwoofer, it fell behind the amps as well. I detach the amp mounting plate to find out that it actually fell between the two layers of trunk insulation. I had to use a little telescoping magnet tool to fish around for the nut between the insulation.

So, I single-handedly turned a quick and easy mod into an hour long fiasco. What a bonehead.

Moral of the story: Be careful with your nuts! :D

I love these stories.I have done plenty of that in the last 6 months. Now I have an assortment of magnets you wouldn't believe.Magnet on string, magnet on flex handle, telescoping magnet and the best, magnet with fingers to grab your nuts.

hahah...
when installing the intake... i was being helped by a buddy of mine...
we were both taking off the nuts for the strut tower brace...
and... lol... first he dropped his nut... (passenger side)...
it went under the battery (battery had to come out...)... i laughed at him... then 2 seconds later i dropped my first nut too...
it fell into a little bay in the frame, luckily i found it just feeling around =D

moral of the story, when you're holding one nut, and getting ready to grab the other, don't let go!
haha

I'm glad to see I'm not alone. My wife just laughed at me. Gotta love that spousal support. Then I took her for a ride with the new CAI installed, and the laugh turned into a girlish giggle. :D

hmm...
I am really thinking about these for the Shelby (sequential's)....
after following a few guys with them in and watching them i got a kick out of it.
not so much the turning sequential part, but the braking... how it stems from the center out =D

other than these two things, is there anything else it does?
Thanks!

I think that is all mine do. I like that all six sections of tail light come on when braking.
