For some reason I'm getting white smoke out of the driver side exaust on deceleration only. Anyone got an idea why?

Way back in time, I had a diesel pickup suddenly start blowing white smoke about a week after I changed the turbo. As the engine had 360,000 miles on it, I didn’t bother to make any further repairs. The cause of white smoke if I remember correctly is water getting into the engine. If the car is under warrantee, get it back to the dealership ASAP.

It is was cold and moist but the car had been running a solid hour.

Check your antifreeze level. If it's low this could be the cause - maybe a blown head gasket?
