If you want to take it off I am sure a strong solvent or Acetone would take it off...................................07.......... .............................

I've never been a big fan of white lettering on my tires, but you did a great job.

Looks good, how about a full car shot though so we can see the full effect???

I asked him about that in a PM! It is in the winter storage mode right now, so we will have to be patient!

Nice job, 07!

Thanks old buddy.Oldimp is right.I have it up on stands right now.I will make a mental note of it and do it when I am ambitous enough.I have 2 large pictures in my garage,a red 2007 Shelby and a 2006 red Ford GT.The letters are painted on the GT and they look really cool so I did my Shelby like that.Come to find out the Ford GT doesn't come like that either someone painted those on then took the picture.............07.........................

How about Torch Red letteing. I remember my 1967 Olds. 442 came with red lettering on the rubber! Food for thought if you like that look.

I only worked 10 hours today so I came home put the rear wheels back on,took it off the jack stands and pulled the beast out of the garage. It's suppose to be a nice week and I can't take it any more, I have to drive it while I can. It's dark out but the flash worked pretty good.I took these for all of you that wanted the full effect so here you go.What do you think?

Not sure how this would look with the 2011 tires. Perhaps I can mess around with photoshop and come up with something.

Car looks great, but the bare trees are boggling my mind. It's only September.

I think it gives the car a more retro look. Very nice.

My pickup has raised white letters. To clean them I use Wesley’s Bleach White. I don’t know if it will remove tire paint. Just in case you want to try and clean them before a repaint.

I really like it... I agree w/ Little Shelby, gives it a retro look. I'm wondering how white letters would look on a white car...... hmmmmm....

Good, it's ancient, so I can post my opinion without ruffling the OP's feathers...

Some things are timeless design, and other things are fond relics of an era...

The Mustang shape is timeless design, looks as good today as it did then.

Raised White Letters on tires is a fond relic of a bygone era, looks "at-home" and great on the cars that they originally came on...

But they look like socks on a chicken applied to a modern tire and car, and the 2005-up Mustang is an extremely modern interpretation of a classic theme.

Some things are better left in the past, or the car gets too "kitschy"..

I'd never seen that before. It goes with the colour scheme of the car very well I think.

I always like a good zombie thread.

FWIW, I think they look great, but too lacking in talent to do a good job myself.

Don't feel too bad Colleton, those posting dates tend to sneak by on a good thread.

I agree with what you said.

It doesn't look "bad" on the car...but I just think it's something that needs to be left in the past. I'd never do it to my tires.

Sorry Colleton, didn't mean to sucker punch you. It was me, I was looking through the archieves for something specific and saw that post. It got my interest becasue I had a '65 (in 75) that had raised white letters.. Car was blue wiht OTT wide white stripes. So, I just thoughjt I'd resurect it from the dead.

You just said "snazzy"... Which qualifies you for an official Carroll-Shelby-autographed AARP sticker for your rear window!! :grinbiginvert::grinbiginvert:

Now if I see you using "the cat's meow" or "peppy", I'll ship you a tissue dispenser for under your dash!!

That actually looks pretty badass. Red/White is a perfect combo for that, and you did a really clean paint job. :banana_hitit:
