Hi my name is Tom and I thought I would let everyone know my shelby was completed on 6-16-2006. I did not receive it yet and I am sitting waiting and waiting. I am wondering when it will be here. The date of delivery to the dealer was 6-29-2006 to 7-6-2006. I know they are on shutdown last week and this week but I figured it was built I would have it. It is almost 1 month since build date. I chose the white with blue stripes. I ordered my cat on 3-25-2006 I just wanted you to know maybe you can gauge your car with my experience thus far.
Thanks from Ohio...Cleveland

Hey Tom thanks for the information. VNMOUS1 has the dates from order to expected delivery spelled out pretty well for refference also. Cleveland, OH. Not too far away. I am in NW PA perhaps we can meet in the middle one day with our new rides. The anticipation of yours knowing it is built has to suck! This is killing me and mine has only been on order for ONE week!!! I couldn't imagine knowing it was built and driving by the dealer everyday to see if it was being delivered!!! Can't the dealer tell you anything??

TomC,
Mine was completed on 16 June also and I was expecting this week, but no positive news so far. I think there is the outside possibility that it has never left Flat Rock due to stripes not being applied or a QA issue. Let's hope they got out of there before the shut down! Best of luck!
Shelby101 07-15-2006, 04:49 PM Hey guys, I'm in Naperville. Got the vista blue and deleted the over the top stripes.
I think it seems worse now than earlier in the process because there is little new information. Early in the process there was a constant flow of new exciting information.
Now every web blog site simple says waiting.
How many ways can we say it!!
Bummer, Bummmer, Bummer
I was told by Ford customer service I would have a firm build date the 3rd week of July.
I really hope so.
If we ever get these things we need to find a place to get together and tell our war stories

Greetings there in NaperTucky! You can review my sig (as someone above suggested) and get a reasonable idea of what to expect. Keep in mind, I ordered mine the first day possible and they didn't start building for 3 more months....so "your mileage my vary".
Mine's sitting at the port, waiting for stripes, then it'll be shipped. Hoping for sometime this next week (w/o 7-17-06) when they return to work.
Did you get yours locally?

Just got back from vacay. Any news on your ride or are you "in jail" til next week, like me?
bj
oldimp 07-15-2006, 07:09 PM Hey, bj,
No, nothing new. The dealership thinks it has been shipped because their computer information says so. I tend to think it is a fluke that they just haven't seen before. I have a sneaky suspicion that it is sitting right next to yours without those darn stripes!
VNMOUS1 07-17-2006, 05:15 PM Is that yours that is coming to Piemonte Ford? Should be there today!
oldimp 07-17-2006, 06:12 PM bj,
Forgive me if you weren't asking me, but mine will be coming to Jones Ford, North Charleston, SC. Where did you see the Piemonte Ford post?
FYI, 07 SHELBY tried hard to find some solid information for me today, but work got in the way! Maybe tomorrow!
Smitty
VNMOUS1 07-20-2006, 10:09 AM Smitty- I just saw this, so sorry about the delay (always better to email me). The Piemonte thing was from stangsunleashed and it was a blue coupe that Robert had taken a picture of. It was the front page of the site and showed cars on trucks. He mentioned that dealer for that car, and it's literally a mile or so down the road from me.

Oldimp,
Hi it is nice to see there is some communication between us. Maybe Ford should take note... I talked to a guy in Flat rock last week and he told me 10 days max. Then I call hime today and it is 5 to 10 days. I am not sure how they are doing the stripes but I don't think it is very efficent. I was thinking of calling them and delete the stripes and have them painted on. Hey i will gladly meet half way we can talk about our war stories lol....My dealer is Mullinax Ford in Amherst Ohio. If anyone has info I would love to hear it and cyrusapollo has helped also I am thankful...
Thank you everone

I don't think you can do that now but if your car is not enroute now it will be in the next couple of days. The stripe application is our biggest bottle neck.It is done by hand and the guys doing it can only do about 7 max. a day.
07 Shelby,
Thank you for the update. I am going to wait for them to finish I know it takes time it is just rough dealing with the waiting. But I am luck to get one so I should not complain.
Thank you for your help

I must say I feel like I have new friends because of this car. Thank you all and if you are ever in the Cleveland area Be sure to call....

Hey, Tom,
For me this forum has been a true blessing! If you would have asked me four months ago do I think I will make any friends on a Shelby forum, I would have had to guess probably not. But, you put a bunch of decent people together with a common goal and that is exactly what happens!
Good friends and good fellowship on a Shelby forum! Who'd a thunk it!
I also will say thanks to all who have enlightened and entertained me on this forum! This has been and continues to be great fun!

Hi ALL...I have been soooo busy the past few days it has been very hard to sit down and enjoy reading the posts on this site  But tonight I found myself with some time and a glass of wine...so I'm back :D I see the boards have been jumping :p Lotsa new info. and even a new member or two...Those of you with cars enroute (oldimp, oldimp & oldimp) have much to be happy about! I'm very happy that my 'T' shirt should be heading West in short order...I'm in agreement with oldimp that friendships are being forged here, day in and day out...thats a really good thing...think of the cameraderie once the cars start to arrive and we begin sharing stories...Hopefully the striping issue 'rights' itself...it must be frustrating to build 40-50 cars/day but stripe only 7 :( 07 SHELBY...Any word on when your car is scheduled to move through the process??

Yes , I remember that day. I must take this time to say that this site has been the best therapy for me. It has helped me to balance out my reasons for habitually signing onto the internet most every morning and throughout the day. I am the proud parent of a service man in the Middle East. His emails are a true treasure when received. I actually await every one and every word, but I must say the days in between are longer than you know. One needs an outlet or a drinking habit; and the later is too hard on a marriage. Although my wife's and my goal was to have this Shelby durning his 2 week leave, there is still no disappointment. His presence at home far out shadows any car presence. It would have been the icing on the cake and bragging rights upon arrival, as he was raised Ford and Mustang thru and thru. He worked with me building and parting out many old Mustangs. I now know what true patience means. Hopefully this will put a different perspective on anyone awaiting for any news on their Shelby. When the homecomming arrives, it will be well worth the wait.

What a great post! I have one son old enough to be in the military but, he has not chosen that path. I can only imagine how tough it must be on you to have him over there in the Middle East. But, I know you must be proud of him and so am I! I hope your above goals come true! That would be a lovely story to read on this forum some day soon! God bless you all!
pparker 07-21-2006, 09:32 PM Guys, I would like to said thanks to 07 SHELBY,CYRUSAPOLLO,VNMOUS1 AND OLDIMP for keeping me updated with all the Shelby news. Let me tell you a little about me. I'm in the U.S. Navy living in Japan and I had my eyes set on getting a 07 Shelby sometime by the end of the year. Well, last week I got a call from the Overseas Military Sales Office. Ford decided not to sale the Shelby to the military. I don't understand why, Ford sold the GT to the Overseas Military Sales Office and now I called 30 Ford stores and they all sold what they had. But I'm gald to see you guys are going to be happy soon, wish me luck and maybe I'll be able to pick up one in the next six months. I hope.

oldimp 07-21-2006, 10:10 PM Hi, Pete!
Welcome to the forum! Wow, Peter Parker? Does Spiderman mean anything to you?
I am very sorry to hear that Ford has not offered the Shelby for military sales! Honestly, that doesn't sound right, does it? Do they make less money on one sold to the military sales than they would the one going to my dealership? Maybe so, but I didn't think it would work that way. I hope that scenario changes for you and you are able to get one! I want to see any of our great service men and women get the very best treatment from their countrymen!
Can you say where you are in Japan? I have been to Yokosuka and Okinawa on business trips for the Navy.
One last thing, thanks for being a vital part of the greatest military in the world! Your fellow Americans are very, very proud of you all! You will find a lot of support on this forum!
LOOK N GO 07-22-2006, 04:47 AM Welcome Pparker, Once the cars start getting deliverd, I believe this site will be a great source of tech. info. It seems many are ready to modify the cars right out of the box. I'm sure there will be lessons learned, that will be shared. So when you find a way to get your car, you will be on top of the knowledge pile.
Also don't be surprised to see info on cars found at dealers later this winter, that can be bought once this frenzy cools down. Good luck and stay posted :)
HI everyone...
I just wanted to stop by and tell you all Hi and I am hoping to get mine next week. We will see how she goes. Life is good! I hope all of you are well and not having to much problems waiting for your Shelby...lol Bless my wife lol

Thanks and yes I have been called Spiderman for about 20 years now. I think military sales get the cars for the same price, we paid MSRP for them. I'm in Yokosuka and be happy to come back to the states soon. Being oversea is great for a short period, it's time to come home(Florence, SC) I see you live in Ladson, SC? Thanks for your support and I will talk to you again.

I have been to Yokosuka four times on business for the Navy. I liked visiting there, but the longest stay I had was three weeks! And the flights over there are a killer, arent they? Have you been out to Monkey Island yet? I think that was the name of it! And that Japanese battleship was a pretty good visit!
I don't know how much you get around on the base, but there is a point out in the bay with a building sitting right up on top of it. That is the RADIAC Calibration Facility where I went for all but one of my trips. It is right beside where they keep the military dogs. Or at least it was!
On one trip my friend and co-worker, Gene, and I went up Mt. Fuji. That was tough, but I wouldn't trade the experience. One of the Japanese Nationals that ran the lab gave us a note written in Japanese to show to people when we got lost getting to Fuji. It said something like,"We are dumb Americans help us get to Fuji!" Just kidding about the dumb part!
During the three weeker we went up to Tokyo one weekend and Kamakura the other weekend. Kamakura was really a good visit! Not sure I am spelling it right.
And Florence, my wife's (Emily) kin live up there around Effingham. Are you familiar with that area? It's pretty close to Florence. Whenever I talk about our visits up there I always refer to it as Florence because I never can remember Effingham! I had to ask her the name again this morning!
So, I hope you can get home soon! Maybe we can get together and you can look over my Shelby to make sure you really want it! Well cruise a little bit!
Take good care of yourself!

The spammers are rarely actual people. most are automated.
As a Moderator on a Mach 1 site, the best advice I have is DO NOT REPLY TO THE THREADS. This confirms that the spammers have a live site and other spammers will start throwing sites up. Best thing to do is ignore them and report the threads somehow to moderators and admins.
oldimp 07-24-2006, 03:53 AM Shelby Wise! Good job on the spammer! 07 SHELBY will like those!
My car is still sitting in Michigan as of this morning. It will more than likely get out of there sometime this week, so maybe I'll see it the first week in August. I will not keep it a secret!
Hope you get that VIN today! That'll get your blood flowing!
Best of luck!

oldimp 08-09-2006, 11:16 AM Hey, where'd everybody go? There is a guy on base here that has a Stage 3 Roush in the same colors as my Shelby. A buddy of mine brought him around to see the Shelby yesterday. He tried to tell me that the Shelby only has 469 hp. I think he is wishing there wasn't 85 hp difference between them! He came by again this afternoon in the Roush, but I drove the GT today, so he left with a puff of smoke and a hearty hi, ho, Silver! I would like to get a photo of the two cars together!
