Did anyone finance their car through their Ford Dealer, and if so what sort of deals did you find. I was going to check with my bank and see what they can do of course, but just curious.

I will be going with a home equity loan through my credit union. Yes, there is a chance you can lose your house if you default on the loan, but the interest is tax deductible. Since I'm only financing a small portion of the total amount, I'm not too worried about losing my house.

(If you lose your house, at least you still have the Shelby!! :D :D :D )

I'll finance about half of my total $$ through these folks.... best rates around-- https://www.penfed.org/index.asp

Don't be discouraged by membership prerequisites, bottom line (if you go through the membership prompts on the website) is for $20 anyone can join Penfed credit union if you're not military, federal agency employee or family member.

A buddy of mine who recently bought a new Porsche 911 financed a large chunk of it using Penfed.

I did a home equity loan - that way I get to deduct the interest. Just before my car came in, Ford announced their 0% loan on new cars - I asked my dealer if the Shelby qualified for this type of loan and he just laughed and said Ford didn't need incentives to sell their Shelby's.

Thanks guys, just wanted to get a few different opinions, thought about the HELOC also, I did talk to my dealer since the post and he said it was available for 72 month financing. Depending on your situation could help, just thought I would share, and thanks to everyone who replied.

Lol -- agreed 66HiPo. I found it a little bewildering at first, but they are for real: currently 5.74% APR up to 72 months, beats anyone else I have seen by almost 1%. I have no affiliation with them other than as a borrower.

Mostly Pentagon and military/federal employees as members but anyone can join - https://www.penfed.org/membershipApplication/eligibility/elig01.1.1.asp According to their website they have been around for 70 years, $8 billion in assets.

As I said earlier I have a friend who just financed his new Porsche through Pentagon Fed... and he has no affiliation with federal gov't. If anyone is interested further, this was the original lead -- (read starting from about post #10 in this thread http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=286007&referrerid=28792 )
