Turned 57 last month. Have kicked myself over and over again since I got rid of my '66 fairlane( 427 wedge, side oiler, cam, solid lfters, headers, 1050 Holley 3 barrel, Hurst 4-speed, 4:11 rear end[which I had to replace soon after getting it], set up for the strip) that I had while in the Navy in 1969 in Connecticut. There wasn't anything around that could touch it on the street. Got married and traded the car. Got rid of the wife but couldn't find the car. Have wanted something with similiar power since. It will be interesting to see if the 500 will give me the same thrill. I could power shift my Fairlane @ 7200 RPM's and she didn't flinch. I couldn't get on it in
1st gear, but when you slammed it into second you almost couldn't get out of your seat back to get into third. Sorry, I tend to ramble when I remember that car.

Believe you me it is better. Those were the days but it always seemed you were going alot faster than you realy were. Alot of noise, tires screaming, vibration and as the going says all bark and not bite. This is the real thing! Hind site is 20x20. Never look back you will beat yourself up doing so. Things are always best the first time around and although it may not feel the same it is Better in more ways than one! Enough cliches for one post, just drive the damn thing and let us know how it feels. Sorry but it is raining here in NY and now I am rambling for my baby's clean, waxed and I can't drive her:( On a positive note, Black fish season opened today and I do have fish for the barby.:)

It's the wife here. How else do you spend this much money for a car. You say, "Baby, look what I'm going to buy you."
