I have the current ford hardware and software and I cant enter the wrong VIN. This equipment auto identifies the car and connects directly to Ford servers to properly reprogram modules.
What makes you think the wrong VIN WAS ENTERED?

I bought the car from a local dealership used, And I guy I know who owns one as well asked me if it felt like 500 hp because he has heard of dealerships working on vehicles and entering the wrong VIN # and it adversely affecting the output of the car. He has asked me this a few times now so I dont know if he had heard something about this car either directly or indirectly through the dealership. The history on the car is this guy bought it brand new from this dealersip and brought it back 2 years later with 5800 KM on it Im in Canada and they had it on the lot for 40k canadian which I thought was a good price. So know Im wondering if there might be something wrong with it. I traded off my 05 mustang GT and I know how it felt. This one does pull harder but due to what this guy has asked me a few times now. Im second guessing it I guess.

Thanks Guys

I work at a Ford Dealership. I need more info. Entered the wrong VIN# how/where, and for what purpose? Do you mean for a programming/PCM update? There are also other verifications to make sure it's the correct vehicle.
