This reminds me.....I bought a new Miata in August of 1993. I paid $16,000 for it which was SEVERAL thousand dollars less than people paid in 1990 when the car was new due to dealer mark up. The salesman told me that he had several people complain that they got ripped off being that they could buy a three year newer car for less money.

With the relatively low production numbers, I don't see this happening to this degree with the GT500. Frankly, I don't plan on spending over sticker price. That may keep me and a GT500 away for a while. I notice that the Ford GT is basically down to sticker price from sky rocket prices.....

And I see that the reserve is $25k. 25k OVER MSRP. It's interesting that they have the balls to do that when they don't even know if or when they'll get allocated a car. IMO you must have an ego problem to go there.

I wonder what the one first one off the line that they are auctioning with a meet with Caroll Shelby will go for out in CA sometime this spring/summer?.

I see he just lowered the reserve price to $17,100. What a deal! ;)

I bet the first GT500 at auction will top $100k.
