Hi everyone, nice to meet apart of this community. Just got my GT500 last week (Wednesday for my B-day [20th]). Already in love with it completely, I came over from a 2007 335i BMW. Owned alot of BMW's but I also have a 86 F-150, 88 K1500, and 85 318i currently. Car is a 2009, Alloy/satin silver. BTW i'm in Albuquerque NM.

I'll post pictures when I have 4 posts ><.

Thanks everyone and I dont really lol. None are even near finished. all work but still so far to go on them. I've already ordered the CAI (steeda) for the Shelby and will be ordering some blackout pieces for it as well tomorrow, btw it's not safe running the Steeda CAI without a tune is it? I've heard multiple things to each side but i'd rather be safe than sorry.

You must put a tune on it if you intend to run a CAI otherwise you risk the chance of running too lean and frying a piston or 2.

Thanks, I figured as much with all the extra air being forced in thinning everything out thanks for confirming it. I've never encountered an intake as powerful, one that needs to have everything remapped. Most euro cars don't see as much of a gain so a tune isn't needed usually. Thanks for the info.

While you're at it, a 2.6 pulley is another FUN mod you could do, since you'll need a new tune anyway!

Drive safe!

Thanks everyone, and it's actually Alloy w/Satin Silver stripes (the gunmetal color) and not black. This color is awesome it's got alot of depth to it for a grey metallic.

Just picked up my GT500 on Friday, traded a 2007 335i with the Dinan software. I am already considering modifications, this car doesn't seem quite as quick as the BMW (even the wife mentioned this). I had 420lb/ft. of torque in a 3500 lb. car, 480lb/ft. in a 3900 lb. car is just not getting it done for me. I work about 45 minutes from Steeda, thinking about having them install a pulley, cold air and a tune.

I'm new to the Shelby community so excuse me if this sounds like a dumb question but what is a tune and how is it done? I'm guessing its some sort of adjustment made to the computer.

You are right. Several companies make a hand held device (power programmer) that connects to your car's ECU via the diagnostic port and changes fuel mapping, engine timing, and best of all boost. That's what so great about having a forced induction car. A tune can unlock a lot of hidden horsepower. Check out steeda.com/products/steeda_gt500_ultimate_inductionpak.php. Sorry, can't post a link yet due to forum restrictions.

I dealt with Steeda a lot with my '98, and they were great to work with, so don't hesitate and go have some fun...
