Thank you so much for taking the time to look into my car for me I really apreciate it. I have learned that the dealer was invoiced today for the car. They told me the car usually is right behind it. The dealer is 2.5 hours awat from Flat rock so I know it will be on a semi. I am hoping for it by Friday...I will be sure to have many pictures for you. I had Borla's on my '03 C5. They were a little raspier than most others I listened to. Sort of that mid-to-high range of sound. That said, they had less resonance at idle than the others, so that was a good thing.

I assume you can do an axle back and not really HAVE to do CAI and a tune til later, si'? I hear the GT500 is set fairly well so that it wouldn't screw around with the mixture too much to just use them for sound for the time being.

Borla doesn't make axle backs or cat backs for the Shelby yet.They can't get their hands on one.They do make it for Steeda,Ford Motor Sports and Roush.Yes that is correct.No Tuner necessary till CAI installed.Everybody real close.Within a month.Yes for the sound,I don't like stock sound for a Shelby.My preference.

Now we are talking! This is the setup I want (Borla w/ 3.73 or 4.10). I'm sure you all know the somewhat annoying exhaust tone that the 4.6 puts out at about 2300 to 2500 RPM that is highway crusing speed of about 63 to 73 MPH. It makes long trips on the highway long. I'm anxious for someone to report there findings on the new Shelby engine setup. This is the best part of being late on delivery. I can't wait to hear your feedback on your differant combos. Yes I did, and at the time our local tire dealer had just started selling them so he was eager for someone to purchase them. Had them in a 80's GT with a 351W enginer instead of the 302. Once you heat the tires up they were like glue... only issue back than once mileage was not that good... of course not on the back but even the front it seems like 25K and they were shot. I am sure that has changed now.

What do you think of the sound of the borla clip :) I like it VS the steeda click I have. Maybe my neighbors will hear me if I pull out of the garage at 5:00 A.M. but with 500 + under the hood I want them to know I am leaving :D

It is mustang stock. When he asked for what year and model, I told him 2007 Shelby, but it is the same as the one in my 05 Gt except the color. It runs $80 or there about. VNMOUS1 had the idea before me and already has his signed and back! He has a pic on a thread here, just run a search for it! It looks great. We can fix you up with a copy of the form to send Mr. Shelby. It requires a $200 donation to the Carroll Shelby Children's Foundation and $15 shipping. I am going to replace the one in the car with the signed one.

Sure thing! I might be able to leave here in the Shelby Monday evening! Two Shelbys were received at Columbia rail yard today, but of course mine was not one of them! However, they are expecting another train from Shelbyville Sunday and they are working Sunday! The rail yard folks said if it gets there Sunday, they will get it to North Charleston on Monday morning!

I had to go buy ink so I could print all the toons out.I laminated all the other ones and showed a lot of people at work.We were rolling.

I am on the Steeda website and C&L website every couple of days just waiting for one. I will buy it now and wait to install until I get about 3K miles on it. I want to make sure no issues before I start wrenching on it, my guess is that once I have 3K miles on it with no problems it should be ready to have some changes... but I will buy now once it is out. The exhaust on the other hand will go on the next day I have the car :)

I have the 4" tubes on my '05 Mustang GT and they fit fine. The cutouts on the Shelby should be the same.

My Dad has finally caved and said the car needs to sound like it has 500hp. He keeps hearing mine, with SLPs, and can't stand his being so quiet anymore.

I purchased the Ford Racing Axle-Back Exhaust (model #M52305GT) back in August from Stangsuspension for $390.95. I just checked their website and the price for the same exhaust has gone up to $465.88.

These were made for the Mustang but prices have gone up.I guess if you wait long enough they will come out with axle backs that say for "Shelby" with a nice price tag.I guess I am not sure what you are looking for!These are very nice...............................07............. ..................

I'm doin' OK. I had a nasty nightmare the other night...I dreamt my dealer fabricated the Q2, 2007 delivery letter to keep me off their back so they could sell my Shelby to someone else at a huge ADM. I woke up in a cold sweat and couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. :eek:

This whole experience has taken years off my life...and with my lifestyle, I don't have that many to spare. :D
