: An Encouraging Word
BEACHSCGT500 04-27-2008, 06:06 PM You never know how far an encouraging word may go.
Yesterday I was on the phone w/ Blayne (LuckySnake).
I helped him out with a small issue and mentioned about my car and the tranny problem I had.
I had already made up my mind that I couldn't fix it without a lift and a tranny jack.
Blayne told me in a few words that he thought it wouldn't be that hard and that I could do it at home.
Well those few simple words taunted me til I made up my mind that I would attempt it.
So I somewhat reluctantly started this endeavor and ONLY 2 HOURS later I had jacked the car up, disconnected the exhaust, lowered the tranny, driveshaft & loops, and re-attached (locktighted this time) the gear shift lever bolt and put everything back together. http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb76/FastestShelby/AAA%20Smilies/beach.gif
So you never know how far an encouraging word might go.
Thank you Blayne.

Grabber 04-27-2008, 08:48 PM Nevermid, I see that you found it on top of the tranny.
07 SHELBY 04-28-2008, 02:54 AM Good job Bill.
LuckySnake 04-28-2008, 03:54 AM Your welcome. Thanks for the tip to get my hoses disconnected. TVS Stage 1 seems to work great, feels like allot more power than the JLT/ Evo Stage 2 on my stock blower.
TVS install was a cake walk. I did have allot more oil in the intake than I expected.

milezperhour 04-28-2008, 08:07 AM way to go BB. Glad your back in operation. Working with jacks really sucks. Getting to old for that. Which is why i'm buying a lift for my garage. At least i'll be able to sit and work, rather than crawl. :D

Blayne, sorry so long to respond to your message...I was in England for 10 days with almost zero access to any computers.

Went to bed early. I'll be on later tonight, but first I have to go work off a few pounds...gained 5 pounds in the UK (that's 1.25 stones to them :ack: ).

If you didn't want to gain weight, then why did you eat 1.25 stones???? :bangin:
What shape were the stones?
Didn't they chip your teeth?
Were you able to "pass" them?
Did you pay for them in dollars or pounds?
Am I a wise ass?? :ugh:
:D

I'd never heard of a "stone" before...so they educated me. They said it was about 14 pounds (I think I did the math wrong above). you ARE a wise ass, but we like you that weigh (pun intended :cowtounge: ).
