I ordered my 2000 F250 SD w/PSD from Ken Grody Ford, Buena Park CA...I'm going to call them and see if their GT500 has arrived...my order is in @ another dealership, but it would sure be nice to get up close to a GT500...they are about an hour from me...Board Ford is in Whittier, CA...about the same distance from me in a little different direction. Yes, it's a VERY small dealership. Salida is a town of only about 6,000 people located up in the Rocky mountains. It was a great find for me...I'm only paying $2K over MSRP vs. the $10K to $20K markups at the Denver area dealers.

I am in OH and rang Mullinax..the truck must be enroute. I phoned 3 Mullinax locations around here: AMherst, N. Canton and Wickliffe and all three places indicated no Shelby sightings yet.:( Tom C, are you the lucky buyer of Shelby car #1 at Mullinax Amherst location? Can't wait to see it!!!

RDavis I am the first one at Mulinax Ford West. They have been very good to me. They always kept me up to date and helped me in every step. I will purchase another car from them. They have good people working for them. Jason Mayer in the Sales Manager there and is a good person to talk to when you purchase your next Ford product. I believe they think long term and so do I. Okay, I looked at their inventory and one good thing going for them is that they have a decent sized inventory and a strong showing of Mustangs. (They show 12 on the ground right now.) The reason that is good is that if the next run of Shelbys, meaning non-presidents award winning stores and non SVT stores, goes in order of what they call "share of nation" which is based on how many you typically sell, 12 is good compared to a store that only stocks one or two. They look like an older, well established store- you can always tell the old grandfather stores by having "motor company" in the name. Unfortunately, yes it is normal to go several weeks, perhaps months without getting any updates. Wish I had better news for you, it is just as frustrating for me as a salesman to not have any updates to give to a good customer, so I feel your pain. It would be great if Ford would institute some kind of tracking system.

No problem, glad to do it. Yes it helps tremendously that they are SVT. If they are SVT, they should be getting your car relatively soon. I will add that store to the list of stores to keep checking.

Based on experience, if you have a build date and apprx. ship date, I would expect that date plus two weeks. It is common for an ordered unit to get bumped once or twice by the shipping company, for a week at each bump. And if it comes in on time, all the better!

Glad to hear about your Canadian Shelby's, I need to know if my full set of hockey equipment will fit in the trunk next to the Shaker 1000 speaker box!;) :D

You should be ok with a coupe unless you are a goalie. The sticks won't go in the trunk on a convert. The rink is a nice place to be on days like this when the temp is in the high 90s. Only 72 days till hockey season.:)

No, I dont have direct access to other store's allocation, but I can tell you that only a very small percentage of stores will get more than two. Most stores will only get one. Here's the deal: every Ford store, large or small, SVT or not, will get one; if a store is a "president's award" winner, they automatically get another and will get it first. Then, any SVT store is gaurenteed another. So, to be gaurenteed 3 they would have to be a "president's" winner and SVT. Which is entirely possible, just not many of them out there. I will look into that store and get back with you.

Hey jerzy- I called out to that store because I only saw 12 pages of inventory. The receptionist said they were president's but not SVT. You may want to verify that they are SVT, otherwise I have a hard time believing they are getting 3 allocated to them. The receptionist may not have known what she was talking about. We are a small store with only one allocated, but I have 3 sold; I had to buy the other 2. Maybe that's what they did?

Ouch. I got a downer from our Ford rep today. She said that production is about 4 to 6 weeks from being finished with SVT cars, so none of mine will even have a hope of being scheduled until September.

my ford dealer is not a svt but is a president, they have told me they will for sure get 3 and maybe 4. Im first on list for them and they have 4 or 5 other dealerships. maybe they "borrowed" one from another of their dealers. my brothers dealer in SLC utah is a svt and a president and will get 3 he tells me.

He said that his first one is in transit, he was just notified that his second is ready for production, and mine. I guess I'll have to wait n see. Thanks again for checking into it! You da man!

Yeah, I screwed up here. I see Jerry's Ford, I bought a new 96 cobra conv. in 97 dead of winter at $3000 less then MSRP from them, plus countless other trucks. Ted Britt is also a big time dealer I have used. I should have went with the Big boys. Now I'm stuck on the porch waiting for just a VIN. Live and learn. :)

I spent the weekend watching Mustangs compete against Porsche's at Barber Motorsport Complex, thinking about how much longer I will have to wait. I got to work this morning and on my voicemail was a message from my dealer (Terrebonne Ford, Houma Louisiana), my car was in...........It is bad to the bone, yet it is still very easy and comfortable to drive. Much faster and civil than my C5. Paid MSRP and am very happy.

My dealer told me My Shelby should be here..... like soon. Its showing up on his floor inventory. Anyone else experience this?

My dealer is a svt dealer and has a presidents award and i have first GT-500 on order. I was thier yesterday and had them call the VOPC to see were the car is at? The VOPC told him it was on material hold for the engine. Last week it was stripping, and the week before it was for the shaker 1000. I dont know what to believe. Thier is a dealer less than four miles away that allready reseaved two GT-500s.

Hello everyone ! New to this whole forum stuff but giving it a go. Today my dealer sent me a copy of the door sticker for my Shelby. Told me the factory sends him an e-mail of the stickers before they get the car(s) As far as the Shelby goes it seems like nothing is happening for the dealership like usual. Once again he tells me my Vista blu with white stripes will be in soon. BTW I got a chance to see a White with blu stripes at a Dealer in Colma, Ca. Its the owners car he has it on display until Thursday.

I also have a Torch Red W/White on order from Susanville Ford in CA.
I was told that there ia a problem with the Crimson Red seat inserts and that production on cars with res inserts would be delayed..... Any truth to that?

Sorry guys, I have been extremely busy this week, plus we are going thru a computer crack down, with people doing things "other than work related" on the internet. It takes me about an hour and a half to do the updates, but I promise one soon. On a more exciting note, I will leave the name out so as not to burst his bubble if he hasnt posted it yet, but one of our favorite posters will be taking delivery of his Shelby TODAY and will hopefully be stopping by my store on his way home. If that works out, expect many pictures and good stories in the next couple days. Keep the faith and I will be posting an update soon. Congrats to all, have a fantastic weekend!!

That seems to be all of the coupes for now. Bear in mind, there will be some that are delivered before paperwork is drawn and assigned to the dealer. I still have never seen VNMOUS1' s car show up in his dealer's inventory, and he's already put 500 miles on it. Hopefully you guys will still enjoy looking through them and it does show that they are working to get them out as quick as possible. Just not as quick as we would all like.

Aahh, Medved Ford in Castle Rock, CO. Those are the guys that screwed me. :mad: I was #3 on their list with a deposit down, and they decided to dissolve their list, return deposits, and auction off their Shelbys to the highest bidder.

Actually, I guess it worked out for the best. Medved was charging $10K over MSRP, and I ended up finding one for $2K over. That'll teach 'em! :D

I just got lucky, I guess. Tiny dealer way out in the sticks. They didn't know everyone else was applying the huge ADMs. The $2K was just to cover their certification costs since they are only getting one Shelby.

I noticed that on 7/27 on your shipping updates you mentioned Town and Country Madison, TN, They are supposed to be getting two Shelbys. They are telling me that they are not arriving until the 1st week of September, does it take that long if it was shipped on 7/27? One of them is a black vert.

Here's the deal guys, there are too many "invoiced and in transit" for me to keep up with. I took about 2 hours Monday night to try and cut and paste the updates into a document that everyone can see, so for the most part, you would be able to see what I see. I went to start a new thread in which to post the new update format and the file size was too big. I am working on a way to post what I see directly to the forum.

I cut and pasted them to a word file, but the size ended up being 555kb. I guess I could try cutting the document into individual pages so they fit. Any ideas?

The admin could increase your size limit or create a section that gives you access to post larger files. Sending the file to everyone in a word doc is to much work on your side and I am sure you have better things to do than sending 100 emails every couple days.

Another idea don't use Word... paste the info into a TXT document. Word carries allot of over head compared to a text document. See if notepad makes the file smaller :)

Yeah, absolutlely. Anything that will help would be great. I hate not being able to do the updates. It will have to be later this evening, I have the document on my laptop at home. I would love to be able to post them on a regular basis again, and in a better, more informative format.

This is a power lease. Order # 0022. The build date was 7/25. The car was supposed to be delivered on 8-15. I am being told it was one of 5 car pulled by QC due to stripe issues. I was under the impression that Power Lease orders had some sort of priority but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Yeah, it show the invoice was prepared on July 20. I cant track it past that.

Yes it does and yes I have picked her up! I've wanted a Shelby since I was 15 yrs old (had to settle then for a 1968 Mustang w/289). Finally,
at 48 I have my Shelby and couldn't ask for more. :D

Not mine. He says that was a "car from another dealer he is just delivering to someone in the area". I am supposed to be next. Has it come to Performance Ford in Omaha, NE. Your list from 8/16 also has a Black clear coat car which he claims not to have gotten. I have the feeling I am getting the shaft.
