: JLT Carbon Fiber Rad. & Fuse Box Covers
BEACHSCGT500 01-19-2008, 07:19 AM JLT Performance is launching some more Carbon Fiber pieces soon.
The stuff looks awesome, and I got my chance to try some out.
I picked up the radiator shroud cover and the fuse box cover today.
If you have the C/F intake, these pieces are a must have.
Installation of the parts is extremely easy, first start with removing the radiator cover...

That sounds cool, I'll have to stop by and look at it before Jay sends it off. I've seen the blue CAI, but he didn't have the other parts in blue when I was there.

Svtbird91 01-19-2008, 09:36 PM I also ordered a set . Standard black . They will give the engine compartment a nice but not too flashy look .IMO
Joe G 01-19-2008, 11:27 PM Only thing I'm trying to decide is whether to get the std black CF or the red CF.
I already have the red CF CAI, so the other 2 pieces would fit right it, but I'm not sure if it's TOO MUCH red under the hood.
Here are some pics Jay posted of the red pieces on a black car like mine.

Grabber 01-19-2008, 11:42 PM Joe,
I am watching a movie with Peaches and I just showed her your dilema on which color to pick. For what it's worth, we both think you should get the red because the CAI is red. Tana said it would add a nice splash of color to the engine compartment. She said it would give it some "wow factor".
I ordered black because my CAI is black.

Peaches thinks like Deb.
Deb said the same thing... plus, I think it will look good with my two-tone interior.
Thanks for the advice!

If I had a Black or Alloy car, I think the Red would be great.
I'm with George, I don't care for the flashy polished stuff.

I'm in Virginia Beach and we got a good covering last night, not sure how much in inches, but it is almost all burned off now though it is still very cold.
What part of Virginia are you from and when will you be back?

ginson3 01-20-2008, 06:23 PM Have any of you seen one of the carbon fiber hoods in person? It might be a nice look if you went all out with a carbon fiber look. I have seen facia splitter, mirror covers, rocker panels, and hood, know of any others?
JR
BEACHSCGT500 01-20-2008, 06:25 PM I have not seen the hood.
I like my hood, I haven't seen a better one yet and they are awfully expensive after purchase and paint.
ginson3 01-20-2008, 06:38 PM There was as late as yesterday a carbon fiber hood on ebaymotors under GT500. It is an exact copy of the stock hood, and I suppose it it intended to be installed unpainted. They had it installed on a Vapor coupe like mine with the stripes deleted. The 3d look is interesting looking.

Available yes.
Jay (JLT) has said they're selling very well, so you may have to wait a week for the next shipment to come in depending on what's in stock and what you order (colored ones are a week or 2 out right now last I heard).
