LuckySnake 01-31-2008, 07:14 PM Silly question, is there any discussion of having part of the gathering at a park? Wondering if it wouldn't be cool to be where we could sit down in the shade? Just a suggestion.
"I hope that most of you have checked out the Shelbyfest website. Please keep in mind that we will be adding to it over the next 2 weeks as some detail finalizes.
As far as the intinerary goes, here's a quick run down since it's not on the site yet:
Friday night: those that wish (I'll be there this year) can get together and watch/run at the usual test and tune at Gateway international Speedway. In the event that they actually schedule a closed event that day, I am working on an alternate plan.
Saturday 9a-2p Car show at Hermann Ford in Hermann MO - I will be there about 8:30 and hope that cars start showing up around 9. I would really love to video tape the caravan that gets together as they come into town. Please communicate with Lamonte as he is the ring leader for this. I am going to have 2-3 different camera men in spots along your route to get shots as I plan on making another video after the event.
2p-4p - I would love to caravan thecars about 1 mile form the dealership to Riverview Park and do a photoshoot there however, we may just transition from the show to the catered meal.
5p-???? - I am planning on a catered meal (bbq, or steaks, or something like that). The cost has yet to be determined but I can assure you that if the meal doesn't get sponsored, the cost will be less than in a retaruant and you will get the benefit of setting around and getting to know your fellow Shelby owners as well as the folks from Ford, R&A Motorsports, Robert and Sharon from the Team Shelby website, and maybe a few other vip's that might be there.
I have so much going on I can't begin to get it all in this email......
There are holding a meeting today to finalize SAI's involvement in the Shelbyfest so keep your fingers crossed and maybe we can get Amy and some other cool stuff bought out.
Please keep your eyes on your email, the Shelbyfest website (www.shelbyfest.net), and teh Team Shelby website."
