There's a "Dent Doctor" by me in Hicksville on Old Country Rd. Never used it yet, but I do have a ding in the passenger door, so I might give it a try.

I read on the net that they have to be pretty good not to screw it up....maybe someone else can chime in here. Do you think they would be able to get a ding out of the crease in our body panels???

I saw the " dent doctor" car the other day and thought about flagging him down as I really want to get this ding fixed before the show season starts.

Melissa,

I have a guy that I used here in Whitestone. He did the quarter panel on my Black GT after a Wood Bench fell in my garage and he also did the hood on my Silver Toyota after a kid riding a bike decided my car would be his brakes. All came out PERFECT!!! No holes drilled at all to gain access to the dent. If you have no luck on your end, give them (149-17 Cross Island Parkway, Whitestone, NY 11357 (718) 746-8880) a call and at minimum - set up an appointment.

Rule of thumb with this particular type of repair - If a PORSCHE dealer uses a specific "dent dr.", one should have no worries using them. That being said - contact a PORSCHE dealer and ask who they use.

the guy in Whitestone is very good. when i was in a Subaru club we'd get a good rate of $150 for unlimited dents. individual was $75.

^^ yup ... exactly what I paid and well well worth the investment. Wish I took pictures of my GT Before...but here is one after. It's not the ideal picture since the angle of the shot doesn't do it justice. But just imagine the area between the tail lense and fender well looking like someone punched it - with two quarter-size dimples from the “feet” of the bench. Looking at it from an angle and one would NEVER know. Have had the car in shows and nobody (including the experts) are the wiser. And black is no bargain as it shows all blemishes. The Whitestone guy is a gem in what he does.

Ahhh - found one of my passenger side door. I had two dings from shopping carts repaired the same day. Nothing nearly as bad as the damage to the quarter panel, but definitely noticeable from 10 feet. Take a look at it now:)
