Anybody experience this?...About a week ago, could no longer use auto fill on nozzle at gas station - even on lowest setting, before the auto shut-off kicks in. Have to barely squeeze for slowest fill rate and even then, auto shut-off continues to shut off hose. I have blown down vent holes at my gas cap - to no avail. Anybody experience anything like this or have suggestion?
Thanks for any insight you mihgt have.:boohoo:

do a search of this topic, it has been a problem with the exhaust melting the vent tubes just above the pipes in the rear. It happened to me as well. There is even a post with pictures by some forum members.

Thank you Plasman. I searched after I posted and found a reference to a melted tube to canister but did not find this thread you pointed to - very helpful! I'll check it out this week.
BTW - I had signed up for this forum a year ago but had forgotten about it, so am gald I 'rediscoverd' it. Lots of good stuff for an appreciative fan.

in the meantime, turn the nozzle upside down and fill up
I guess I've turned the nozzle every which way including upside down, but may have been impatient. I'll give that more of a try if I don't get the line fixed before next fill up.
Thanks !!

I hope you stay at the nozzle even when it is on auto fill. I've seen the shut off fail and gas spew all over.

Been having this issue since 2005
No auto fill here in Ontario, gotta hold the pump lever the whole time.
