Just wanted to say hello. I just purchased a black/black used 2010 Shelby GT500 and got rid of my 350Z convertible. I have to admit that it feels really weird driving a Ford as I have been a Chevy guy all of my life with my first car being 1974 Camaro. That being said, I am enjoying every minute I spend at the wheel of my GT.
Any events upcoming in the area?
Thanks ...

Also, post a pic or two of your car in your signature (User CP also).
As for your Chev history, I was also a strong Chev fan until my fav dealer sold out. I didn't like the new folks, found a Ford dealership I liked and the rest is history. The red '11 GT500 is my 2nd; I traded an '09 Blk/Red for this one.

Isn't a 350Z a Nissan?

Hey there from a fellow NC resident.
As for events, there is one in VA on November 11. It's called Holiday Laps at Virginia International Raceway in Danville, VA. It's about a 2 hour drive for us, will be much shorter for you. It's a 3+mile road track that you can drive. My husband takes his 03 Cobra out there. There are about 6 of us going this year. You can find some info at the website for VIR.

A lot of those "Holiday Laps" type events (at Virginia International Raceway in Danville, VA.) are classified as "Non-Spectator" events which means they get cheaper ins rates for the event and there is no (or very little) admission fee to watch.
They're good for meeting new friends if you can make it. :banana_hitit:
