Infineon, Laguna? I'd like the oppty to run my car and get instruction at the same time. Is there such an animal?

I know NASA runs HPDE (high perfomance drivers ed/driving experience) days at infineon for sure.

As does Hooked on Driving. They have great instructed driving and allow you to move up through 4 groups. They have an event at Infineon coming up on 12/1 as well as an event on 11/23 @ Laguna Seca.

A more conservative group than NASA imho but absolutely worth checking out.

You will see other GT500's there if you see a Silver 2011, say hi.

I would contact the Norcal Shelby Club. http://www.norcal-saac.org/ They have a driving school and open track at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, Ca. on April 2-3. They will also be at Infineon August 5-7. I believe they usually have a Laguna Seca open track session sometime during the summer.

The attached photo is from last years Mini Nationals “Hot” parade lap. I was hooked after playing on the track. Unfortunately after the tragic Indy Car accident, the went wife off and shot that idea down.

You could always hop in the car and go soak it in. Free to come watch and see if it's up your alley.

The easiest way is to go to trackmaster-racing.com and register. It's free and allows you to drive for anywhere from 175 to 300 dollars for a track day at all northern California tracks, T-Hill, Infinion, Laguna.
