whats up everybody, my name is Josh and I'm from from a town right outside of Corpus Christi, Texas. I have a 2011 Shelby GT 500 in Kona Blue with Red stripes. I love my car and its color combination. I was told this color combination was more rare than the rest of the colors. idk how true that is? hoping y'all guys would fill me in. I am a full time student at Texas A&M University-CC. I love to race. I am in a team named Fast Times Racing Team. As of right now the car is stock and I'm still deciding if I'm going to do any mods. The color combination looks great. I have not seen that before. I used to live in Texas, in Irving and am sorry to hear about the great drought on the state. Hope you get some rain soon but Corpus is a great town. You'll enjoy the car. Most mods people make are for handling or power, I did mine for some of the driving like a back-up camera and two radar detectors but I did add the FRPP supercharger upgrade for a little more power. There are some good roads in Texas, nice for driving and even some hills around Austin. Take it easy though if you see any of those Texas rangers.

thanks for the welcome you guys. so far i LOVE my car. apart for the squeaky brake brake problem, I've had none. I was told at the time that i got this car (January 2011) that i had the only one in the state and there were very few in the nation lol which kinda freaked me out. as far as mods go, i do want to do a back up cam, cai, some good dr for the track, and maybe a upgrade on the pulley but i'm not to sure yet.

its been really dam dry lol but we've been getting some scattered T'storms this past week...yeah them Texas rangers are crazy up there in the hill country! i have family that live in the DFW and Irving area and every time we drive up there we see a lot of DPS and Rangers all over the place.

587 2011 Kona Blue were built. 255 had racing stripes. But, it wont show what color stripes...

Do you have stripes on your seats? Only 88 were Kona blue with Red stripes on seats.
