Have approx 1,400 miles on the Shelby now and notice that when the RPM's rise in 2nd gear I can hear a rattle in the gear shifter area, had a buddy ride along and he felt down as low as he could on the shifter area under the boot and could make it stop by holding it firm or moving it just slightly am I just being over paranoid and this is normal?

Well as long as your buddy gets to ride along free and hold the shifter I guess its no problem...jk

Its under warranty, dont be afraid to take it in and have it fixed. At the least it will start a documentation trail for you about shifter issues, so down the road if other things happen you already have a record of repairs.
