Shlbysvt and I met up at Atco this morning for a track rental. Overall, it was a success with both of us improving on our personal best times. I will keep it brief for now since it took me 4 hours to get home and I am hungry.

I posted an 11.73 on a 1.88 at 123

Joe ran a crisp 11.35 on the strength of a 1.69 and 126

More story to come after I rest and eat!

Not sure. My sons friend turned me on to it from a local foreign car club. Mostly Mercedes. They were a great bunch of young guys and will let me know of future rental dates. Small crowd, maybe 13 cars or so which made for a nice relaxed day. Car felt great with the new rubber, wheels, 4.10's and Trutrac. After getting used to the new setup I was running solid 1.7 and 1.6's. A little dissapointed in the final et's but I think maybe I was not holding the shifts long enough and my mph did drop a little with the new set up. Right now shocks are the only new mod in the near future. My mods are pretty conservative. CAI, 2.6 pulley, 2008 balancer, Bassani LT headers with high flow cats and full exhaust, aluminum ds, lca, uca, 4.10's, Eaton Trutrac, M&H front and rear, Bogarts, and canned tune by Jon Lund. The Bogarts, M&H's and 4.10's have now given me some respectable 60's which seat time will fine tune. Last year I could not break a 1.87 60' on BFG dr's and 3.31 gears. A few more mph would be nice though. I ran a consistent 126 throught the day with the temps reaching near 80 by mid afternoon.
Greg ran real well and with some better rubber and uca he too will be mid 11's. All in all a great day at the track and thanks for the photo Greg. I always forget to use the camera phone when I am at an event. I am still of the Kodak era.:silly: As for the four hour ride, my trip to and from the track averaged 2.75 hours each way, not counting the Peter Luger dinner on the way home, so next time leave a little earlier in the morning and later in the evening Greg, although I know it is rough with the ages of your kids and one in the oven.:) Turning 60 has its advantages.

I was so pissed that I wound up hitting all the traffic anyway. The only saving grace is the kids were very well behaved and cute for the hour before bed. If they would have ben in foul moods it would have made the drive sooo much worse.

Either way, next time I will plan it to be out all day in advance. Brendan got a nice picture of me launching I will post when he sends it to me.

The guys name was mike. I gave him my email address to let us know in the future. Says he likes to do 3-4 a year in cooler temps.

Rentals are always fun, relaxed and easy going, plenty of time to cool down or run the balls of the car.

Glad you guys had a good day

So much for shocks in the near future. The future was alot nearer than I thought. Just ordered D-Specs from American Muscle. $541 after my NYMustangs Discount of $28. Free shipping and no sales tax. Now that is it for this season.:grinbiginvert:

100%. I brought a camera and a video and thats all I got. I think next time we should video all the runs so we can analyze what we did and make adjustments based on the feel and the footage. It should help put it all together for me.

Thanks Greg. Let me know when the uca comes and we'll throw it on the lift. I am running the BMR and have had no issues since the bushing change up. Time will tell. J&M seems to be another good choice.

Not the pretiest launch and hit the limiter in second but here's a look at the 11.37. Kind of ugly looking at the video but it has taught me alot. Not the best run but thanks to B Kane we have a video. Scott's run was much smoother.
