Have any of you taken a stock convertible to the track? I am wondering how my driving is. I never took my car stock, but with a steeda CAI and tune I managed a 12.96 @ 112mpr with a 2.229 60 ft on stock bald tires. Then with a set of drag radials ran a 12.707 @ 113 with a 1.988 60 ft.

From what I have been able to find I think stock convertibles run about 13.2-13.4 Does anyone have experience?

I bet I could get a little better 60 ft with some practice, but do not really want to beat on my car too much. It is a convertible so it is a bit more of a cruiser than a racer. I already sold the drag radial.

Bring a sun dial. :silly:

Seriously,I've seen traps ranging from 111 to 114, and the ET is obviously more driver-dependent.

At the risk of sounding like Mr Obvious, tires will be a BIG help.

Oh...and to find out how your driving really is.....Google for automotive performance calculators online. Find one and put in the weight of your car (with you and fuel) and for HP, put in 435. It'll show you what you SHOULD be able to do. (None of us can, but it's a benchmark)
