'07-'09 front end to '13-'14

How much of a PITA is it to put a '07-'09 front sheet metal on a '13-'14?

Has anyone ever seen it done?

Never seen it done. I'm sure it would be quite the job, but anything is possible. The logical question is WHY? If you like the look of the 2007-2009, just buy a 2007-2009! You'll save a bunch of money and you can mod it to be even faster.

I don't think you're realizing that the door profile is completely different for 2010-up, so the fenders would line up with the doors like... not....

And if you replaced the doors, then the doors wouldn't line up with your quarters, and...

Just go buy a 2013-14 and it'll be far cheaper, and go faster...

You can't just swap panels on two different body-styles When they re-style, the subtle shapes and body-lines of everything is altered, and nothing crosses. You'd do just as well trying to hang that 13-14 front end on a Camaro.
VNMOUS1 and Norton like this.

2011 GT500 SVTPP Silver, stripe-delete, glass roof, accessory side scoops and techno-geek package

Mods: VMP TVS, 2.4" pulley, VMP elbow, CJ dual-65mm TB, res-delete, AFCO H/E.

660.42 rwhp, 641.74 rwtq

Dyno results were with old 2.59" pulley and before the AFCO H/E...

To me the 13-14 has a somewhat "catfish" look to it. I'm not a real fan of that. But the 13-14 has all the power bugs worked out, not to mention a much more advanced electronics package. There was a world of advancement in those seven years.

Just wondering...

You know what they say....."if you got the money, it CAN be done".....

I enjoy the more classic look and the 'old style' ride and drive of the '07-09, and I've never liked all the extra doo-dads and electronic gizmos.....as I've said before, 'give me a V8 and a stick shift, I'm happy'.......everyone knows they ALL can have the same power...that's as easy as VMP.

I get what you're saying (tho I think the '15-'18 are the real catfish). I like the '07-09 fender flares and smaller butt myself.

I agree with the others. Get a '13-14 or build your current car to the beast you desire.

There was a guy doing the reverse over on S197forums but then he took a lot of the pics down as it was leading up to SEMA. So with enough time and money anything is possible.

2009 GT500 to 2013 GT500 Conversion and Major Build - S197 Mustang Forum - S197Forum.com

This guy did something simlar with a gt that previously had a first gen GT500 front end. The key seems to be blending the two fenders together seamlessly.
