Need exhaust help!

I have an 11 and need axleback recommendations. I really like my terminator with bassani axleback. I really want something a decent amount louder than stock at idle, normal cruising speeds and when I really get on it. I am beyong confused with all the reading I have done. I have stock manifolds and mid pipe. I was going to go s-type, but am concerned they aren't much louder than stock at idle or crusing speeds.

Exhaust sound is quite subjective. Some like subtle and others like NASCAR loud! I have Borla-S and in my opinion, they are the best sounding mufflers for an 11/12. There is zero drone, with a deeper burble, but when you hammer on it, the bark is much more pronounced than stock. If you lean towards liking LOUD exhaust, go for the Ataks. If you ever plan to go with an off-road mid pipe and/or headers, Ataks and quite possibly the S's will most likely be too loud.

Best thing to do, if possible, is hear the exhaust in person. Playing clips through a speaker doesn't do the system justice.

Ooh lots of options. S type are a bit louder but not hugely so. Ataks are very loud. Here's the setups I have had on my 2011

1. American Racing Headers true thunder mufflers. Good sound not a ton louder than stock. Tame long tubes pretty well. Little drone.

this clip was with this setup. https://youtu.be/wJtv6cWcEbE

2. Bolts Atak. Loud. I did not care for them all that much. When I put long tubes on they were too loud, too much drone. Loudest setup I have had.

Pretty sure this was with this setup https://youtu.be/zFbLVrXMZQw

3. Corsa. Best all around sound I have experienced IMO. Louder than stock but very... civil. Except when your foot is in it, at which point they scream like a banshee. Especially with long tubes.

Ignore the chatter and crying baby in this one.

4. MAC custom from team Shelby member. Louder than stock at all rpms. Probably the best sounding muffler I have had, especially with long tubes. I took them off because my wife refused to ride with them due to the volume. I still have this set if interested. The only muffler I've had that completely tamed the long tube rasp.

5. Shelby Super snake 2013-14 oval. Made by borla. Loud with some drone. Love the sound not the drone. Put resonators on which tamed them enough, but still really a lot of drone at 1500-1750rpm at low load (e.g. 6th gear at 75).

So I have spent a ton on exhaust setups over the years. I have had long tubes, taken them off. Put them back on, etc. had both X and H and have stuck with the H due to less rasp and more of a muscle car classic sound, however I think the H causes more drone than the X.

Friend of mine has magnaflows on his and they also sound great but are not as loud as the Mac and the ataks. Roughly equivalent to the S type.

Another recent Borla S convert here.

1. At idle/in the neighborhood, they're slightly deeper and more burble-y, but not louder.
2. On the throttle they are deep and loud and announce your presence in a very assertive way. (This is also known as grin-mode)
3. In 5th or 6th they are quiet as a church mouse. Zero drone.

For me it was truly the best of both worlds.

Good luck.
